What to take on a camping trip to prepare
Planning a return to nature for a camping trip enjoyable? This guide tells you what you must do to ensure you are prepared.
The type of camping equipment you need depends somewhat this type of terrain and climate, you will be camping However, this list covers the basics for any type of camping trip.
First, remember not to make lanterns and flashlights. You can not have too many of these! For long camping trips, pack extra batteries.
Then bring a lot of lighters and matches. The candles are optional depending on the "natural" you want to be.
To cook, put a stove camping, Dutch oven or other similar items. Whatever will make the most sense for the type of cooking you are doing.
This is important. Bring lots fresh water. You can never have enough of this. If you are near a water source, water purification tablets or a portable purifier can be a lifesaver!
Bring plenty of food as well. It is better to have more than you need, rather than fail. With cooking equipment, bring something else you might need to prepare food. Do not forget the can opener! plates , paper cups, napkins, and garbage bags are essential.
Tents, sleeping bags, blankets and plastic sheeting or tarpaulins should be included with your hardware. Remember, pillows and air mattresses if you do not feel like sleeping on hard ground.
Make a kit first aid with antibiotic ointment, bandages, alcohol, and other related items. Do not forget insect repellent and sunscreen.
Remember toilet paper and possibly a portable toilet is important. wet wipes or baby wipes are also useful. Bring soap, shampoo, toothpaste and other toiletries that you want to use.
Include tools. A Swiss Army knife or Leatherman tool for beginners. Hammers, axes, shovels are useful as well.
Other items you should consider taking a camping trip are binoculars, camping chairs and folding tables, rope or twine, towels and washcloths, and last but not least, backpacks.
This may seem a lot to carry, but if you're intelligent about it and keep it organized, it will not take too much space and you'll be so happy that you were ready when you return to nature. Preparation will make your camping trip a success!
