Baby Outdoor Mat

The needs … What should I do for this road trip vacation?
I have a month 5 years who has not had more than 2 hours from home since birth. She will know my side of the family for the first time are approx. 6 hours from home. The trip will be a stay of 3 4 days. My wife insists on almost everything, except for travel crib (exersaucer, toys, inflatable chair, play mat, etc.etc.) Keep in mind we also adapt to our business in four days (worth of clothes for both of us, toiletries, cold weather equipment for outdoor activities air. Not forgetting, baby clothes and blankets and other minimum) Top it all must be a Toyota Matrix with a size non-rigid mid cartop carrier. Tried to look into renting a midsize SUV / mini-van for the trip … prices are almost as much as it would for me to return at home. I want to go as light as possible. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Let her know that exersaucer, bouncy chair or is Trip not a toy. Promised her that if she feels the baby really needs an inflatable chair or exersaucer for the holidays, you will find a shop to buy a for her. (Even if you do, it would still be cheaper than renting an SUV). A play mat and small toys are a good idea, as long as you do not too. The best way is to negotiate with your wife try to reach a working agreement on measures to be taken.
